Le jeuThe game
Comment ça se joue. How it plays.
You don't fly a rocket. You play the drums with it.
Your rocket climbs through a column of pistons that open and slam shut in rhythm. Each piston is an instrument (kick, snare, tom, hi-hat) and plays its hit the instant it closes. The level is the score sheet; your climb is the song.
One finger
Hold: the rocket thrusts. Let go: the air brake bites. You never steer, you never aim: it's all about speed and timing. Chain three big boosts and you hit Overdrive: time slows to half speed, the camera swings in behind you, and the column turns into a highway of light.
The daily world
Every day brings a new world, the same for every player. Your best flight of the day comes back as a ghost climbing beside you. From the launch pad through the clouds, the stratosphere, the Kármán line and into orbit, every kilometre changes the sky, the tempo and the style of the music (pop, 8-bit, synthwave, funk, reggaeton and more).
A second chance
Crashed? Rewind the tape like an old cassette, pick your moment, and take off again at the speed you had.
Tracks and editor
Four timed tracks, each with its own tempo, drum kit and world leaderboard. Plus the editor they were written with: lay down instruments bar by bar, set the tempo, the start and the finish, listen back, then test your track in flight.
24 rockets
From the SPL-0 to the Licorne (a unicorn), 24 rockets unlock as you climb, and the hangar lets you repaint them. They are purely cosmetic: the physics are the same for all of them.
Also
- 21 achievements in the flight log
- Daily and per-track leaderboards and friends, with an optional Supervandal account: no account needed to play
- Every sound is synthesized live, not a single sample
- No purchases
- The interface is in French for now
Rocket Flow is the game that gave birth to the Supervandal engine. This version rebuilds it from the ground up on that engine. Made by Supervandal, an independent studio.
